Unifying South Africa Through a Record-Breaking Flag

Doing It for Tourism 2025 brings South Africans together to construct the world’s largest hand-beaded national flag. This powerful symbol of unity is crafted from 1,200 swatches beaded by individuals across all nine provinces.

The campaign culminates in a national Legacy Day celebration on 27 September 2025 at the Jozi My Jozi Precinct in Johannesburg, coinciding with Tourism Month and marking the official flag unveiling.
